We have been working diligently with our JAILCON Committee, AZ Sheriffs’ Association, Western States Sheriffs’ Association and others to determine the best way to move forward amidst the COVID-19 situation. It is a delicate balance knowing how to respond and plan in these difficult times.

After careful consideration, we have made the decision to postpone JAILCON Western Regional Conference currently scheduled for June 29-July 1, 2020, in Scottsdale, AZ, to the new dates of November 9-11, 2020, at the same venue, Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale, AZ.

We feel very strongly, especially in light of many training conferences being canceled this year, that there is an even greater need to continue to provide support and legal-based training for corrections professionals, which is why we are postponing, rather than canceling the conference.

JAILCON Western Regional Conference will still be the perfect gathering place for detention and corrections professionals to:

• Learn more about what the law requires to run a constitutionally-safe detention facility

• Discover what’s new in corrections-based products and services

• Surround yourself with other individuals who offer solutions for some of the challenges and difficulties you face in your profession every day.

• Have a much needed (and well-deserved!) reprieve from the continuing stress and strain caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
