PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION RECOGNITION
NIJO is pleased to recognize the following individuals who have worked hard to earn their professional certification through the National Institute for Jail Operations (NIJO).
National Certified Corrections Executive (NCCE)
NCCE is the highest achievable level of certification offered by NIJO. It is intended for all executive administrators including sheriffs, jail administrators and supervisors who wish to expand their knowledge and certification. NCCE curriculum requires an intense amount of legal-based training (115 hours of certified NIJO training) and hands-on management experience to provide individual opportunities to implement and operate constitutionally safe and sound legal-based policies, procedures, and practices.

National Certified Corrections Supervisor (NCCS)
This certification is for all jail supervisors and jail administrators and requires 70 hours of certified NIJO training. This certification is based on core curriculum specific to jail supervisors, command staff and administrators. Required NCCS curriculum is derived upon what supervisors need to know to make good legal-based decisions and confidently lead other staff in running a constitutionally safe facility.
